What is new in the aviation industry?

It is amazing to think that less that 100 years ago, there were no passenger flights, the only way to travel abroad was by boat, and this could take literally weeks to sale across the ocean to places such as America. In the 1960's the aviation industry (fipart.com) announced that they were to make passenger flights.

At first it was just seen as the people who had money who could make these flights abroad, and while many of us take the fact that we can jet off to foreign climates for granted, our grandparents probably never got the opportunity to beable to experience such great things. Over the years things have progressed within the aviation industry, and probably one of the most memorable planes was Concord, this was the plane that all the rich and famous travelled on, and a plane which took hours off the journey time from London to New York. Unfortunately, this great plane has now been grounded, and this is due to the fact that there were faults on the plane, this is thought to be probably due to the fact that it had been in service for many years and not updated.

Recently, the aviation industry announced their plane of the future, which is designed to be very futuristic and even offers passangers the chance to experience a see through roof on the plane, as well as the luxury of beds. There is always new stuff coming up in aviation and flight and since the late 1960's we have seen technologies such as on board phones, TV's in the back of headrests and luxuries such as double decker planes with bars on the top deck where people can enjoy dining and drinking on long haul flights. The service that you receive on the plane usually depends on the amount of money you have paid for your flight. If you have only opted for an economy flight then it is possible to upgrade to a higher class if there is availability on the flight itself.
